Strong environmental initiatives
DC2SCALE puts the environment, which is a concern for everyone, at the center of its activities. During the last ten years, data traffic has increased tenfold and the volume of stored data has increased twenty-fivefold. As a result, Data Centers have sprouted up all over the world with poor environmental concerns.
To fight this, DC2SCALE integrates a large number of concrete and pragmatic actions in order to reduce its environmental footprint, and consequently reduce the costs for the final customer.
Re-use is at the heart of the activity!
The average lifespan of equipment in a datacenter is 10 years while that of servers is 3 years.
With CAPEX costs exploding these last years while we building new datacenters, DC2SCALE has opted for the re-use of equipment and materials. Practically, we use second-hand cooling units under manufacturer's warranty or new electrical equipment that hasn't been delivered following an order cancellation whenever we can.
Thanks to our strict specifications and our partners, we can guarantee optimal quality at costs up to 80% lower than new equipment. We then distribute this added value directly to our customers.
Our data center in Velizy, a Leed Gold equivalent
In order to guarantee you the best environmental standards, we carry out monthly audits of our data centers taking into account international standards such as BREEAM or LEED.
Our Data Center in Velizy is classified as Leed Gold equivalent in our self-assessment, a further proof that DC2SCALE places the environment at the core of our preoccupations.
